The use of Technology for English Learning
Technology has allowed teachers to create more interactive environments for language learning, the first term used for this type of environment is known as Blended Learning which combines virtual and face-to-face environments, the use of computers for English language learning is known as CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) and it is divided into three:

Behaviorist CALL: were the first computer programs created in the 60's and 70's for learning, these consisted of grammar and vocabulary tutorials, and multiple choice and fill in the blanks exercises, these programs provided immediate feedback according to the answers given.
Communicative CALL: developed in the late 70's and 80's these were based on cognitivist theory, they sought exploration and discovery with exercises in which words had to be reinserted into dialogues to make sense.
Integrative CALL: this integrates the skills (speaking, reading, writing and listening) with technology in a more interactive way, the role of the teacher is to facilitate the content and activities so that students participate more actively in the process and this is of creation and exploration.
